Let’s Bake A Cake



There are so many little steps involved in cake baking that sometimes things can just go wrong. How can you bake a chocolate cake? It’s simple. You use the correct ingredients and bake at the proper room temperature. You can measure your ingredients for wet ingredients by weight or you may want to use measuring cups and pour them in with the batter. The flour, baking powder and baking soda need to measured using measuring cups meant for dry ingredients.
Mix together the dry ingredients. Then add the wet ingredients. Use unsalted cold butter and mix thoroughly until blended. Then fold in the dry ingredients.
Make Sure Your Cake Is Done
Check your cake after it comes out of the oven. If you find the center to be dark or have risen, this means that your recipe called for light frosting. Don’t worry. As you were reading this, the oven is at room temperature so the cake baked in a microwave won’t reach doneness. But if your cake is still a bit moist (not dry) when you remove it from the oven, you can try putting it back in for an additional 10 minutes. This will bring it to the proper baking completion.
Using a pastry brush or toothpick, carefully clean out the inside of the cake pans. This will help you avoid a build up of crumbs and support for the cakes spring back up. Once you’ve removed all the crumbs, use a nonstick spray to wipe down the inside of your cake pans. Also wipe down the inside of your stand mixer. You want everything to be as clean as possible because you’ll be scraping away a lot of sugar while you bake.
After your cakes are done baking, and while they cool completely, you can finish the decoration. Usually the best way to do this is to wrap the plastic wrap around the outside of the pan as it is cooling. Wrap the plastic wrap like you are going to wrap a present. And then let your cakes cool completely, and you’ll be ready to cut and decorate.
